The palace-style architecture of the Grand Hotel in Taipei makes it a lovely stop on sightseeing trips even if you aren't staying within its luxurious walls. The brilliant red of the exterior of this Chinese skyscraper gleams against the blue sky. Inside the lobby, the huge columns and high ceilings echo the architecture of Taipei's temples. The views on from the upper floors on clear days must be lovely.
