The remains of Kanazawa Castle only hint at its past fortified form, but are still well worth a look especially considering their proximity to the must-see Kenrokuen garden. Only one of the main gates and a section of wall and moat remains, but the castle and its surrounding area are still capable of taking you back in time to an age of samurais and feudal lords.
