Angel of the North

Size: 6 items

Located in Gateshead, a community near Newcastle Upon Tyne, the Angel of the North is an icon of Northeast England.

The winged, rust-coloured giant was designed by Antony Gormley in 1998 and stands even wider than it is tall (54 metres wide and 22 metres tall). Its proximity to the A1 motorway makes it a must stop anyone driving through the region. Stretch your legs beneath its stretched wings.
