While walking the halls and walls of Angkor Wat, the army of tourists there will not be your only companion. Novice monks glimmer in their orange robes while peacefully wandering the grounds.

They come here for more than just the temple's spiritual significance. These young novices have an additional reason to make the small pilgrimage: to learn English.
Soft-spoken boys know that the tourists here are going to be their best chance to practice their English skills, so if you do visit, take a moment to chat with some of the kindest, most soft-spoken people you may ever meet.
